Logan City Council
Logan Leisure Centres
Logan City Council needed a website for their leisure centres, and we designed and built it from the ground up, in-house. Rather than treating it as a single standalone site, we approached it as a system — one that could extend to cover more than one centre without starting from scratch each time. As part of the project we also designed a companion website for a sister leisure centre, built on the same underlying structure. The two needed to feel like part of the same family — consistent layout, consistent components, the same way of presenting programs, timetables and facilities — without reading as identical to one another. The brief had to work across a genuinely wide range of use cases: different facilities, different programs, different audiences, from lap swimmers checking pool hours to parents booking swim school. We built the system flexible enough to handle that variety without any individual page feeling inconsistent or overcomplicated. The way we solved for that was colour. Each centre was given its own colour, carried consistently across its own site, enough to feel visually distinct and recognisably its own, while the underlying structure, components and interactions stayed exactly the same underneath.
